Rooted in a Different Way of Living
Stars and Sage Farm began with a desire to live a little differently-closer to the land, more intentionally, and with a deeper appreciation for the things we can grow, make, and create ourselves. What started as our own way of life has grown into a small farm filled with bees, handmade goods, natural skin care, farm fresh products, a unique experience, and a community of people who have become part of our story.
How Stars and Sage Farm Began
In 2021 we purchased the property that would become Stars and Sage Farm with a very different kind of future in mind. We wanted to slow down, live more intentionally, reduce our footprint, and create a life that gave us more freedom over our time. We chose to downsize and embrace off grid, nontraditional living by needing less space, fewer things and fewer expenses. We discovered that we also needed less income to support the life we wanted instead of building our lives around a traditional 9 to 5 schedule and the pressure to continually have more, we began building a life around what mattered most to us – our time the land, our family and the freedom to create. Stars and Sage Farm grew from that decision. What began as a simpler way of living gradually became something much bigger. A place where we could raise bees, grow and make things ourselves, create products we believe in, welcome people to the farm, and build a small business around the life we had intentionally chosen.
