What to Expect
Suit up and step into the world of the honeybee! During your hands-on beekeeping experience, you’ll visit our hives, learn how a colony works, hold a frame of bees, and see if you can spot the queen. We will walk you through the basics of beekeeping, answer your questions, and give you plenty of opportunities for photos along the way.
Your Experience Includes
- Suit up in protective beekeeping suit
- Step Inside our Working Apiary
- Open and inspect a live hive with us
- Hold a frame covered in honeybees
- Learn how a colony works together
- Look for a queen, brood, honey, and pollen
- Ask questions and learn the basics of beekeeping
- Plenty of opportunities for photos
- Take home a jar of our raw unfiltered honey
Experience Details
$50 a person | Up to 4 Guests
Location : Stars and Sage Farm- Mexico NY
Season : Offered during beekeeping season
Weather: Experiences are weather dependent, and may need to be rescheduled for the safety of our guests and bees.
What to wear: Tall boots and comfortable clothing. Protective beekeeping suits are provided.
